Chris is a 30-year veteran of the video game industry, creating several classic 1980′s video games and establishing Toronto-based Gray Matter Inc. as a leading independent game studio through the 1990’s. More recently he served 10 years as VP & Executive Producer at Electronic Arts and SVP of Production for Majesco Entertainment. Chris has lead game teams as large as 150 people, on virtually every significant game platform of the past three decades. Notable titles launched include the Harry Potter franchise, NASCAR, Superman Returns, Littlest Pet Shop, Zumba Fitness, G.I. Joe, Monopoly, Scrabble, Adventures of B.O.B., Infiltrator and Boulder Dash.
Steve is a 20-year industry veteran, having founded or co-founded five game companies, including Strategy First, in 1991. As Head of Publishing at Strategy First, Steve oversaw the launch of over 300 games, including the Disciples series, Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, World War 2 Online, and Platoon. In 2003, Steve launched Mammoth Entertainment where he partnered with publishers and developers worldwide in helping to bring their products to market. In 2005, Steve co-founded European publisher Lighthouse Interactive which was sold in 2008. Steve went on to co-found another European publisher Iceberg Interactive in 2009 and was the Executive Vice President. In 2010 Steve joined Legacy Interactive and helped grow its retail business and assisted in moving Legacy into social and mobile gaming, acquiring brands (Tarzan, Paranormal State ) and expanding their portfolio. Steve then served as CEO for leading Facebook cross-promotional service Appstrip.
Jeff is a 25-year industry veteran, having founded multiple successful companies, including the classic industry publication, “Electronic Gaming Monthly” in 1986. Jeff has successfully designed, developed and launched products in every business model and dominant platform, from coin-operated all the way through to the advent of our current freemium and mobile designs.
Notable launched franchises/titles prior to TapStar include: Mortal Kombat, NBA Jam, Nascar, Tiger Woods, Crystalis, Baseball Stars, Nerf N-Strike, Monopoly Streets, Family Game Night and most recently the Tetris Franchise of mobile Products, including Apple’s “Editor’s Choice” award winners, Tetris Blitz and Tetris Monster.
Russell has held senior management positions in highly regarded publicly traded companies in the marketing and licensing arenas, and has negotiated and managed several billion dollars worth of licensing deals worldwide in virtually all categories. Formerly EVP of Licensing, Promotions and Media sales of Marvel Enterprises, Inc. he was responsible for over $200 million in sales per year for over six years, helping the company to grow the business from post-bankruptcy to a $2 billion market cap. Russ has extensive experience in working with major brands, he was the former SVP consumer Product licensing for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and was the Director of Business Development at Iconix Brand Group. Russ is currently the President of Consumer Products at Valiant Entertainment.
Rob Dyer is an industry veteran holding key roles in several industry leading companies. Most recently Rob was the Vice President of Partner Publishing at Zynga. Prior to Zynga, Rob was Senior Vice President of Publisher Relations at Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) and also held positions as President and Chief Operating Officer at Crave Entertainment Group and was the President of Eidos Interactive and Crystal Dynamics, two of the industry’s leading developers and publishers of entertainment software.
